Linéament

Presented in 2023 at the Château de Courcelles in Montigny-lès-Metz, Linéament is a contemporary photographic series devoted to the craft of ground line marking.

The project is developed in three sections: a direct observation of gestures and markings, a reinterpretation through artificial intelligence, and the participation of visitors who become co-authors. These functional lines, conceived to organize movement and use, reveal a geometric language inscribed within public space.

Produced in several European and Mediterranean countries, the images present roads, sports fields, parking areas, and urban spaces—ordinary sites where the ground becomes a compositional surface. Photography transforms these functional markings into near-abstract forms, revealing the tension between rule, gesture, and territory.
