Linéament — Artificial Intelligence
Using the same photographs of ground markings, an interpretation through artificial intelligence extends the original perspective. The algorithm analyzes the lines, identifies dominant structures, and reconfigures the balances to offer a new visual reading.
The following instruction was given:
“Analyze these photographs of ground markings in public space. Identify the dominant shapes, lines, and structures, and then translate what they suggest to you by generating images derived from these elements.”
In this approach, contemporary photography becomes material for interpretation. Reality is not replaced but reshaped through algorithmic processing. The image stands at the intersection of human gesture, the recording of reality, and generative creation.
This part of Linéament explores the relationship between contemporary art and artificial intelligence, and the machine’s capacity to extend an abstraction already embedded in public space.
